Mary of the avenue

I will be doing the scenic design for my first "non-USC" related production! Theatre Americana's production of Mary of the Avenue is a quirky new musical written by Neil Scanlan and Greg Wood, directed by Donna Scarantio. I am so excited to be working on great productions and opportunities, such as this, while I am still in school!

abandoned subconscious - gallery show

January 28 – February 1, 2013
Opening Reception: Wednesday, January 30, 5-7pm

This one week solo exhibit features the instillation by artist and set designer, Madi Orgill. This installation art piece focuses on story telling through the theatricality of scenic design and her love for horror.

This contained environment allows you to look into a world, and see its shattered and disturbing history. The viewer becomes the detective to find what caused such insanity and  abandonment to only find out that the truth is in their subconscious.

More great news! I will be Assistant Set Designer to the talented Jeff Hyde for The Repertory East Playhouse's production of 9 to 5, which runs July 12- August 17. This will get me ready for my first Set Deign at The REP for the production of Woody Allen'sPlay It Again Sam, which runs November 15- December 14th. I am so excited for these great opportunities right when I graduate from USC! The REP just got voted one of the 6 Best Dramatic Theatres in L.A. by the 2012 Los Angeles Times readers poll, and I am amazed that I get to work for them!

Another semester and year is coming to a close, but a lot of great things are set up for my last semester at USC. I will be doing the set design for the USC School of Dramatic Arts production of Museum by Tina Howe, which runs April 25th-28th. I will also be the set designer for the independent student written production of Wind In The Pines by Kyungseo Min, which runs February 23rd and 24th.
I will have a gallery show in the Lindhurst South Case, Abandoned Subconscious, which is open from January 27th- February 2nd. And I have been asked by the set design faculty at USC to present my work in their showcase in May. I am so excited to have these opportunities and will hopefully end my college experience with a bang!

Delusion: The blood rite --final extension--

Created by stuntman Jon Braver and produced by Neil Patrick Harris, DELUSION is one of the most psychologically disturbing, interactive theatre experiences to date! We have been running since September, with our entire 2012 season sold out, but due to popular demand we keep on extending. We have extended our final time with 5 more nights: Nov. 30th, Dec. 1st, 2nd, 7th, and 8th.
This unique interactive moving play has quickly become the “Hottest Ticket in LA,” says NPR's All Things Considered.  The story is told through gripping interaction, suspenseful storytelling and explosive stunt work. Haunted Play dives deeper into fear by requiring the audience to make disturbing decisions to further the story.
