Charlie Productions

Monday – Thursday: 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Friday – Sunday: 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Find out why the Queen Mary is known as “the haunted ship” in this interactive, special effects adventure. Explore the old boiler room where sweltering heat and tight quarters were a recipe for disaster. Visit the old First-Class swimming pool where swimmers are regularly spotted despite the fact the pool has no water. Relive tales of paranormal incidents, accidents and ghost sightings. There’s no doubt the Queen Mary is full of mystery and lore and the Ghosts & Legends Show is sure to leave you asking the question, “If it wasn’t a ghost, what was it?”

This year at the ScareLA convention (one of my favorite Halloween conventions) I will be teaching a scenic painting class! This one hour class demonstration will give you the tools you need to bring your haunt to the next level. Here is the class description:

Scenic Painting Techniques To Improve Your Haunt
Looking to give your haunt that finishing touch? Come and learn some basic and advanced scenic painting techniques that will bring your haunt to a whole new level. This class will give demonstrations on how to paint woodgrain, rotting wood, peeling wallpaper, chipped paint, cracked paint, and most importantly different ways to achieve that dirty, aged, and distressed feel that sells the atmosphere of the haunt. This class is for both beginners and advanced professionals who want to learn something new.

Haunted Play

October 3rd- November 3rd, 2013
7pm- Midnight

Imagine being a character in a horror/suspense film, connecting with actors in a way never experienced. You move through a dark, new world, immersed in a most unique theatrical experience. Your experience will be dictated by how deep you let yourself go. Lines between space, performer and audience shift. The action happens within the world you explore. You must participate to fully realize your journey into darkness. You will be asked to perform certain safe actions to move the twisted tale forward.
Come to the refuge, and play your part.

Reviews:
"On the heels of her terrific set for The Theatricians’ current production of Kimberly Akimbo, scenic designer Madison Orgill has come up with one of the best diner sets I’ve seen, and by far the shabbiest" (StageSceneLA).

"Set designer Madison Orgill’s convincingly filthy diner (which looks as if it hasn’t been cleaned in… shall we say, an eternity?) is the rat-ridden locale where Harry (Gary Lee Reed) and Ray (Matthew Kimbrough), longtime partners in the murder-for-hire trade, meet to plan a final job" (LA TIMES).

"On a fabulously creative set, surreally designed by Madison Orgill, placing us in a seedy diner, we first meet Harry who has come in for breakfast" (Tolucan Times).

"On the production I have to note the set design (Madison Orgill) as well as the sound design (Barry Pearl/Mark Duggar)" (Valley Scene Magazine).

DELUSION: THE BLOOD RITE
FINAL EXTENSION

Created by stuntman Jon Braver and produced by Neil Patrick Harris, DELUSION is one of the most psychologically disturbing, interactive theatre experiences to date! We have been running since September, with our entire 2012 season sold out, but due to popular demand we keep on extending. We have extended our final time with 5 more nights: Nov. 30th, Dec. 1st, 2nd, 7th, and 8th.
This unique interactive moving play has quickly become the “Hottest Ticket in LA,” says NPR's All Things Considered.  The story is told through gripping interaction, suspenseful storytelling and explosive stunt work. Haunted Play dives deeper into fear by requiring the audience to make disturbing decisions to further the story.
